Millions of immigrants arrived arrived at Ellis Island (pictured below)in New York harbor, which was the gateway to the United States. Ellis Island was an immigrant inspection station.
Among the tunes are songs of the early settlers, sailors, pioneers, sod shantymen, railway workers and immigrants just off the boat!
